Old Town Iquique
When the saltpeter mines outside of Iquique Chile cranked massive amounts of money into the local economy in the early part of the 20th century this barrend desert port city imported massive amounts of lumber from the Oregon coast. Much of the old part of town was constructed with this "Pino de Oregon."
